Applying for Website Payments Pro is only about a 20-minute process. After a 2 business day approval period, PayPal will provide you with the necessary information to complete the integration with Soapbox CMS.

  1. Create a new PayPal account if you don't already have one that you'd like to use.
  2. Log into PayPal's application website.
  3. Complete the application.
  4. Upon approval, PayPal will offer two API options. (You can access this screen via an email they send you or by loggin into PayPal's web site and clicking on My Account > Profile > Request API credentials > Option 1- PayPal API.) Select Option 2 - Request API credentials to create your own API username and password.
  5. Your API credentials will be sent to you from PayPal. Enter those in the Preferences section of your site.
